About Wrapt

The problem

Party bags in Australia come two ways. There is the cheap end — a few dollars for a handful of plastic that is broken or binned before Sunday. And there is the licensed end, where you pay a premium for a cartoon character and get the same fillers underneath.

What is missing is the obvious middle: a bag with a small number of decent things in it, appropriate to the age of the child receiving it, that turns up already done.

What we do differently

• Age is a constraint, not a filter. A component cannot go in a bag graded below its minimum age. The system enforces it, so nobody has to remember.
• Lollies are sealed and labelled separately. A parent can read the ingredients without opening anything.
• No chocolate, ever. Australian summers decided this one for us.
• Names on the tags. A bag with a child's name on it is theirs. It costs cents and it changes the object.
• Packed flat. Which is partly design and mostly postage — a bag full of air costs three times as much to send, and that would end up on your invoice.

How a bag gets made

You tell us how many children, how old, and whether you want lollies. Everything reshapes around that answer. Pick a ready-made bag or build one item by item, add the names, and we pack it.

Each bag is filled by hand against a pick list, the lollies go in already sealed and labelled, the name tag is printed and attached, and the pouch is heat sealed. Then the whole order goes flat into one satchel and into the post.

Where we are

Sydney. Everything is packed here and posted anywhere in Australia. There is no shop to visit — for now it is a bench, a heat sealer and a very organised set of shelves.
