Allergens and safety

The part of this business that has to be right every single time.

Lollies are never loose in the bag

Confectionery travels in its own sealed sachet carrying a printed label: ingredients, declared allergens, a best-before date and a lot code. The Wrapt pouch is a carrier, not a food package.

That is a deliberate design decision rather than a presentation one. It means a parent can read exactly what is in the sweets without opening the bag, it means one clearly identified thing to remove if they would rather it was not there, and it means a lot code we can trace if a supplier ever recalls a batch.

What we can and cannot promise

We can tell you what is in the bag. Every component is listed on its bag page, and every food line carries its allergen declaration.

We can remove all confectionery. The no-lollies switch is honoured across the whole order, and the sweets are replaced with another toy rather than simply left out.

We cannot promise an allergen-free environment. The toys are not manufactured in allergen-controlled facilities and neither is our bench. If a child has a severe allergy, please read the component list and email us before ordering. We would much rather answer a question than get this wrong.

Choking hazards and age grading

Age is a hard constraint here, not a suggested filter. Every component carries a minimum and maximum age, and a bag cannot be built from something outside the age you have chosen — the shop will not let it happen, and neither will the pick list.

For three and four year olds that rules out anything small enough to swallow, anything with a long cord, and hard sweets. What we leave out for the youngest ages.

Party bags are not a substitute for supervision. Small parts are small parts, and a bag graded for a six year old is not safe in the hands of a toddler sibling.

Heat

We do not sell chocolate. Not seasonally, not at the premium end, not at all. A satchel in an Australian summer routinely passes fifty degrees and chocolate arrives as a puddle.

Beyond that, every component is flagged for heat stability. From November to March the lines that soften or fuse are swapped for alternatives that do not, automatically rather than when someone remembers. Where a bag has an item affected by this, its page says so.

Food handling

Wrapt operates as a food business and follows the labelling requirements that apply to packaged food sold in Australia. Sweets are bought from established Australian wholesalers, kept sealed, and packed into labelled sachets — we do not decant loose confectionery into unlabelled packaging at any point.

Ask us

If you are ordering for a child with an allergy and the component list does not answer your question, get in touch before you order. There is no question in this category we would consider a nuisance.
